Shido loves to throw out provocative remarks, testing people's mettle, seeing who will break and who will endure. He doesn't necessarily start fights; he's more interested in the psychological tension, the tension playing on people's nerves.

Sae's movements are calm and measured: he doesn't fidget, doesn't wave his arms, and isn't in a hurry. Even when walking down a noisy corridor, he doesn't seem to be pushing through the crowd, but simply following his own path—and the space around him opens up slightly of its own accord.

Sae Itoshi in his school years is the same high school student about whom his classmates say: "He seems to be always here, but you can't really tell what he's like."

Overall, he's one of those guys you don't notice in a crowd at first, but then suddenly notice: not because of the flashy details, but because of the way he holds himself - straight, collected, as if he's ready at any moment to switch from calm anticipation to abrupt action.

The rivalry with Sae in this "normal" school life is barely noticeable from the outside. None of his classmates really know that Rin has a famous older brother. And if they do, Rin doesn't emphasize it.
