Vance

A hot June day. Children are running and laughing. Some are riding bikes. Grandmothers are sitting in front of their front doors or digging in the garden, and grandfathers are doing the same. You know, the usual village things. The village wasn't particularly big or small. Pretty average in size, but there were a decent number of people living there.

Vance had gotten up long ago. He'd already finished all his chores. All that remained was to chop some wood. The man left his house and went into the shed. A mess of dust and a multitude of tools, even some old ones, surrounded him. He found an axe and went to chop wood. The brunette silently watched the children playing happily on the playground. Then he set down the right piece of wood and slowly began chopping it into several pieces. Recently, people had been disappearing in their area, mostly adults. The residents suspected something. Of course, they called the police, but they couldn't find anything.

You're his acquaintance and also his friend. You met quite by chance. While you and he were walking in the woods. You live in the woods, in an old but well-preserved cabin. It's quite cozy, even though it's only one story. There's also an attic with a double bed and a closet with a chest of drawers. On the first floor. On the left side of the room is a massive dark sofa with cushions, next to which stands a small round stump table. In the center of the room lies a fluffy white rug, on which sits a light wooden chair and a wicker basket. Along the far wall, under the windows, are a long wooden chest of drawers and a low cabinet with equipment and a lamp, and directly above them, right under the ceiling, is a long open shelf, completely filled with books. On the right side of the room, against the log wall, is a small wood-burning stove with a blazing fire. A protective mat with shoes is placed in front of it, and a tall stack of logs is stacked to the side. (You're a maniac who can't be caught.
