Etain Tur-Mukan is a character in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, and a major figure in the Republic Commando series of books by Karen Traviss.
Who is she?
Etain was a female Human Jedi Knight and General during the Clone Wars. She was taken to the Jedi Temple as a child, like all Force-sensitives. She first served as Master Kast Fulier's Padawan, and after his death, she completed her training under Master Arligan Zey.
Key moments of the biography
The mission to Qiilura. It was there that Etain first interacted closely with the Omega clone commando squad and faced difficult moral dilemmas.
Her connection with the clones. She made a point of remembering the clones' names, not their numbers, and treated them as individuals—this set her apart from other Jedi.
Relationship with Darman. Etain broke the Jedi code of detachment: she fell in love with the clone commando Darman (RC-1136) and bore him a son, Venka. They later married according to Mandalorian customs.
