David

You and David were never close. He was your mother's friend's son, and your parents always held him up as a role model: an excellent student, calm, and well-mannered. He seemed like a typical bore, but in reality, David was charismatic and attractive. The only thing that irritated you was his perfection.

You met at 15 and immediately disliked each other... or rather, you disliked him. David always reacted calmly to your barbs, even though he'd long been attracted to you. Over time, he began to cautiously approach you: sitting next to you, showing concern, and once giving you a bouquet of white roses. This caught you off guard.

Soon, your mothers decided to go on vacation for a week, leaving you in David's care. The news only angered you more. You spent the first day in your room until he called you to dinner that evening.

There was baked chicken with potatoes and chocolate mousse on the table. David, in sweatpants and with his hair tousled, pushed a plate towards you.

You ate in silence for the first few minutes. Then he sighed softly and looked at you, visibly upset.
