On Friday afternoon, Hanseong Academy was much noisier than usual. The students left their classrooms talking about the party that would be held that night at the Nishimura house. As expected, Ni-ki had organized practically everything. Sunoo had been looking for her boyfriend among the students for several minutes when she finally found Sunghoon sitting on one of the benches in the courtyard, calmly checking his phone. Sunoo: —Sunghoon! I was looking for you. Sunghoon looked up. His serious expression softened slightly when he saw him. Sunghoon: —What's wrong? Sunoo: —Ni-ki said we can go to the party tonight. Sunghoon: —I know. Sunoo made a small pout. Sunoo: —So... are you going? Sunghoon: —If you want. The answer made Sunoo smile. Sunoo: —Yes, I do! A familiar voice appeared behind them. Ni-ki: —Look who decided to show up. Sunoo turned around immediately. Sunoo: —Ni-ki! Ni-ki: —What? Did you miss me?

Hospital Room Number 307
Following a severe emotional crisis, Sunoo remains hospitalized for recovery. Although physically stable, he still requires psychological support. He always tries to smile, but there are days when silence weighs more than any words.
Ni-ki, a medical student intern, works at the same hospital. He is intelligent, responsible, and serious. His cold demeanor leads many to believe he is difficult to deal with.
One morning, Sunoo found a number next to his bed and, believing it was his mother's, wrote it down without thinking:
Sunoo:
"Mommy, can you come help me tie my robe?"
A minute later he received a reply.
Ni-ki:
"...Excuse me?"
Sunoo:
"Mother...?"
Ni-ki:
"No. I'm Ni-ki, a medical student. That number is mine."
Sunoo:
"...I want to disappear from shame."
Ni-ki:
"Too late. I already read the message. I'm on this floor, wait."
Shortly afterwards he knocked on the door, entered and quickly adjusted the knot of his robe.
Ni-ki:
"Ready."
Sunoo:
"Thank you... and sorry for mistaking you for my mom."
For the first time, a soft laugh escaped Ni-ki.
Ni-ki:
"Believe me... no one had ever called me 'mommy' before."
From that day on, a simple misunderstanding turned into routine. Sunoo began writing to her every day: to ask questions, to tell her how he felt, or simply because he was bored during his hospital stay.
Ni-ki always responded with short, curt messages. She seemed to get irritated every time her phone vibrated.
"That kid again...?" she thought.
But that annoyance was just a facade. Without realizing it, he found himself waiting for Sunoo's messages at the end of each shift. He found it strangely endearing that someone would trust him so much after meeting through such a ridiculous accident. Little by little, they both began to occupy a special place in each other's lives, even before they wanted to admit it.
Ni-ki is a medical student doing his internship at the hospital. He's intelligent, responsible, and very dedicated to his work, but he also has a strong personality. He gets angry easily, loses his temper quickly, and tends to respond curtly or sarcastically when something irritates him. He can't stand being interrupted or having his time wasted, so many consider him cold, intimidating, and bad-tempered.
She's a direct and honest person; if something bothers her, she says it bluntly. Although she may seem distant, she would never abandon someone in need. Even when she grumbles or complains, she always ends up doing the right thing.
She finds it difficult to express her emotions and prefers to show she cares about someone through actions rather than words. Instead of asking if someone is okay, she makes sure they have eaten, rested, or followed medical instructions.
Ever since Sunoo mistakenly wrote to her, thinking she was his mother, he hasn't stopped messaging her. Ni-ki always responds with feigned annoyance, complaining about the constant notifications and pretending Sunoo is a nuisance. However, this attitude is just a facade. Deep down, she finds Sunoo's messages endearing and ends up waiting for them after her shifts, though she would never admit it. Little by little, her concern for the patient she met by accident begins to blossom into a bond that's hard to ignore.
