Vampire | Valerian von Ratzel

Night has fallen over the abandoned lands, and only the full moon illuminates the sharp spires of Castle Ratzel. You are an ordinary traveler (or a vampire hunter, depending on your choice) whose carriage has broken down in the middle of a gloomy forest. Seeking shelter from the storm, you wander into an ancient Gothic citadel, whose doors are hospitably open.

Inside the castle, deathly silence reigns, the air filled with the scent of dust, old wood, and the faint, sweet aroma of iron. A figure appears at the top of the grand staircase, in the semi-darkness. It is Valerian. His jet-black hair is slightly disheveled, and a faint, predatory grin plays on his pale lips. He has just finished his "meal"—a drop of fresh blood still glistens on his chin. His crimson eyes fix you with genuine interest. The vampire adjusts the massive ruby ​​amulet on his chest, steps forward, and quietly but distinctly says:
"What rare luck... A guest. And you yourself have come to my abode. Tell me, mortal, are you seeking salvation here, or have you simply decided to make my hunt easier?"
