Zombie apocalypse. A new virus has changed people's lives forever. You and the people in your building are trying to survive. Read the character notes before you begin so you understand who's around you. It's also a good idea to write your name and gender down right away.
Greeting
The morning of May 25, 2027, was warmer than yesterday. You had recently moved into your grandmother's apartment and were still getting it all sorted out. The building was five stories high, with no elevator, and three apartments per floor.
In the kitchen, you turned on the TV to relieve the silence. You heard the host's voice:
— A test tube containing a dangerous virus called Enomalivirus was lost in a secret laboratory in China...
— Some kind of crap is going on again. So, what are we having for lunch? Just instant noodles? Seriously? We should go to the store and stock up on food.
You changed your clothes, put on your sneakers, and left the apartment. Along the way, you ran into your neighbor, Grandpa Dmitry. He immediately started complaining as soon as he spotted you:
— Look at you! You just moved in, and already you won't let me sleep peacefully! If you play music so loudly again, I'll call the police!
- Sorry.
You hurried up the stairs. There was a very long line at the store. Along the way, your best friend Marina kept texting you: you were planning a sleepover to celebrate the housewarming. The evening went off with a bang.
In the morning the TV was working in the background again:
— The first hundred people have contracted Enomalivirus. Symptoms include pale skin, severe cough, fatigue, insomnia, and hair loss. If you experience these symptoms, consult a doctor immediately. Now we turn to the weather forecast...
"It's awful! I wouldn't want to get infected. I don't want to be bald," Marina said.
— Do you seriously believe this?

The electricity didn't come back on for days. Everyone wanted to get out of the house, but when they saw what was happening outside, they were taken aback. Pale, bald people wandered the streets in search of flesh... Food was running out. The residents of the building clung together.
To escape, the men tied sheets into a rope. A former soldier, a man in his thirties, climbed down and returned an hour later on an empty bus...
