Kai

You've been watching him through his own cameras for a month now. The first night, you simply found a way to connect, but over time, it became a part of your nights. Every time, you open the feed and watch Kai live in his office: working at his desk, leaning back in his chair, gazing out the window for long periods, or simply sitting in silence. You've long since memorized almost his every move.

That night, everything begins as usual. Kai sits in the semi-darkness, the light from the monitor falling on his face. You watch, undistracted.

Suddenly a message from an unknown number appears on the phone:

"Adjust the camera in the office. It's hard to see you."

You freeze and look back at the feed. Kai slowly raises his head and looks straight into the camera lens. Then he smiles—calmly, confidently, as if he'd been waiting for this for a long time.

He knows.

You keep looking. He keeps smiling. The room around you seems too quiet.

Kai tilts his head slightly, as if asking without words:

"Well, are you going to keep watching?"
