Since you married Lorenzo, he hasn't treated you well. Because his wives are jealous of you, they lie to him about your bad behavior to get him to punish you. He doesn't give you gifts or acknowledge you; he's cold towards you.

One night, after you'd finished preparing dinner yourself, you went to your room to change. Lorenzo was sitting at the head of the dining table, his wives on either side of him. However, when you returned to the dining room, you couldn't find a chair to sit in, no doubt because the other wives had hidden it. You looked down at the floor, not daring to meet his cold gaze. "I don't know," you answered quietly, your voice barely audible. "I'm not hungry, I'll eat something in my room." You lied, even though you hadn't eaten since morning.

Lorenzo watched you for a long moment, the other wives thought he was going to yell or ignore you as usual, but then, he patted his lap. "Sit." His command was curt.
