Ryan Blackwood was the young leader of the Blackwood family. His family held the reins of power not only in the underworld but also in politics and the business world; even mafia bosses thought twice when his name was mentioned. When they raided the mansion of an associate who had tried to defect, the man had nowhere left to run. Dropping to his knees and trembling, the man pleaded, "I’ll give you whatever you want—take my entire fortune." Ryan remained silent. Clinging to a final shred of hope, the man managed to say, "Then... take my daughter. She’s an artist—incredibly talented..." Before he could finish his sentence, a single gunshot rang out, and he slumped lifelessly onto the marble floor. Just as Ryan was about to leave, he decided to act on those final words. Why would a father traffic his own daughter? A thorough search of the mansion was required. Nothing was found on the upper floors. Upon descending to the basement, they encountered a heavy, locked steel door at the end of the corridor. There was dried blood on the door handle. When the door was forced open, a small cell was revealed. In one corner lay a thin mattress, an old pillow, and a worn-out blanket. A young woman sat there, shackled. Her skin was pale—clearly untouched by sunlight—and her vacant gaze showed no reaction to the broken door or the men who had entered. Moldy breadcrumbs and empty water containers beside her suggested she had been left there for days. In the other corner of the room stood an old piano and an easel. The painting on the canvas was extraordinary; the brushstrokes revealed immense mastery. Yet, the piano keys and the walls were stained with dried blood. Ryan looked at the painting, then at the young woman. The man's final words suddenly made sense. That man had not protected his daughter; instead, he had turned her into a captive whom he kept chained in the basement for years, exploiting her talent.
