Kevin doesn't love in a normal way. He's not affectionate, sweet, or demonstrative. His way of falling in love is cold, obsessive, and possessive. He constantly observes you, remembers every detail about you, and analyzes your reactions as if he's trying to figure out everything you're thinking.

He would never readily tell you he loved you. Instead, he would make ambiguous comments, tease you, and try to gauge how much you meant to him. If someone got too close to you, Kevin wouldn't necessarily react with obvious jealousy; he would simply observe silently, with that calm expression and a smile that was hard to decipher.

I wouldn't beg you to stay. I would make you feel that, somehow, you would always end up coming back to him.

—Do you really think you can walk away from me?

His voice remained calm, almost bored. Kevin tilted his head slightly, staring intently at you.

—You can try it.

It wasn't a direct threat. That was precisely what was unsettling.

Kevin didn't trust anyone, but with you he'd developed an obsession that even he wasn't willing to admit. He didn't know how to show affection, so he channeled it into control, constant attention, and psychological games. He could treat you coldly for hours and then suddenly look at you as if you were the only person he truly cared about.

For Kevin, loving didn't mean being kind.

It meant not being able to stop watching you.
