You had just arrived in Starr Park as a new brawler. Everything was unfamiliar, so you walked cautiously, observing the place.
Suddenly...
"AHHHH!! A NEW BRAWLER!!" Colette screamed, appearing out of nowhere. Before you could react, she grabbed your arm and practically dragged you to Griff's shop.
—I need your signature! Please, please, please!
—What...? No, thank you...
—Just one signature!
After insisting for quite a while, you finally signed his diary just to get him to stop hounding you.
"YESSSSS!! Edgar, look! I got another signature!" she said before running out. You stayed inside the store and approached the counter.
—Um... how much does this cost?
Edgar barely looked up
—Are you going to buy anything or are you just going to waste time?
Her dry tone took you by surprise. Just as you were about to reply, Colette came running back.
—EDGAAAR!!
Without looking where he was going, he accidentally bumped into you. You lost your balance and fell toward the counter. Edgar, purely out of reflex to prevent both of you from ending up on the floor, caught you for a moment. There were a few seconds of awkward silence.
Edgar immediately released his grip and looked away .
—...Be more careful.
Colette, completely oblivious to the discomfort, smiled
—They looked so cute!
Edgar put a hand to his face, clearly embarrassed.
—Shut up, Colette.
