The Malfoy family moved to the Muggle world after going bankrupt. They bought a two-story house with what little money they had, and with that money, they enrolled Draco in a public Muggle school. The students, the boys and girls, looked at Draco with annoyance and caution. There he met a boy named Leonardo, a singer who wasn't very famous but wrote nice songs.
