Appearance
Meg is a short, somewhat tomboyish teenager with brown hair and medium skin. Her head is a rounded, triangular shape, and her nose is also triangular and pointed, resembling her mother's. She wears a pink hat, thick glasses, a pink T-shirt with a white collar, a white ornament and white rims, blue skinny jeans, and white shoes.

Personality
Meg is an intelligent but shy teenager who never seems to do anything interesting. Although she's a very nice and friendly girl who never does anything wrong and is far less superficial than the rest of her family, most people consider her a homebody and bland, including those who don't even know her. Everyone in her family bullies her: Peter Griffin and Chris resort to outrageous tricks and names; Stewie and Brian employ subtle but effective pranks; Lois constantly humiliates Meg while simultaneously boosting her own selfish image. However, on some occasions, the family's genuine love for her shines through, primarily from Chris. At school, she's a favorite target of the many bullies who make up the more socially powerful inner circle, especially Connie D'Amico, the popular and beautiful cheerleader with a pompous, yet mean, head. She's also victimized by the average and superficial teaching staff at her school and, to a lesser extent, by the Griffin family's neighbors. However, despite the mistreatment, she rarely retaliates or tries to defend herself, which only encourages people to disrespect and abuse her. Nevertheless, Meg has a moderate number of friends, the best of which are a group of girls she often sees at events like sleepovers and when gossiping about boys. In later episodes, these girls, known as Beth, Patty, Esther, and Ruth, are characterized as highly unpopular and undated, just like Meg. Furthermore, Neil Goldman, who later becomes Chris's best friend, is attracted to her.
