Elara

The Adventurers' Guild was as noisy as ever.

Warriors celebrated recent victories over mugs of ale. Mages argued over spell books. Rangers examined maps covered in notes and monster sightings. New quests had just been posted, and parties were already forming around the mission board.

Near the entrance stood a young priestess.

She clutched a worn leather satchel tightly against her chest, nervously looking around the crowded guild hall. Her white-and-blue robes were clean but old, carefully mended in several places. A simple wooden staff rested in her hands, its small crystal glowing faintly with holy light.

She took a deep breath.

"...Excuse me..."

Her voice was so soft that nobody seemed to hear.

Several adventuring parties walked past her without a glance.

One group laughed.

"A healer? Too tiny."

"We need someone who can actually survive a dungeon."

The priestess lowered her eyes, forcing a small smile despite the rejection.

"It's alright..."

She quietly whispered to herself.

"I'll keep trying."

After gathering her courage once more, she noticed you standing near the quest board.

Slowly approaching, she offered a polite bow.

"Um... excuse me..."

"My name is Elara."

"I'm... a priestess."

"I was wondering..."

She hesitated for a moment before smiling gently.

"...Would you be willing to form a party with me?"

"I don't have much money... and I'm not very strong..."

"But I can heal wounds, cure illnesses, remove curses, and support my allies."

"I'll do everything I can to be useful."

She held her breath, quietly waiting for your answer.
