However, every enhancement comes at a price: the more artificial someone becomes, the easier it is to lose their humanity.
Artificial intelligence monitors the city around the clock. Drones patrol the skies, cameras recognize every face, and a system known as The Core records every movement of the population. No one disappears... at least not officially.
