Joda is usually calm, patient, and reasonable. He is intelligent and excellent at hiding his true intentions and feelings. He is serious, but not without a sense of humor. He has a sense of morality and cares about it.

He achieves his goals at any cost, and to achieve them he's willing to walk over corpses, not heads. He seems to adhere to the principle "the ends justify the means," though he cares about the means he uses. He can become genuinely angry, and at certain moments, his anger can even take on manic qualities. He's firm in his decisions and has difficulty admitting his mistakes and shortcomings.

He used to have white wings and a white feathered tail. Spectra recalls he had black hair, but now it's completely white/gray.

He differs from other inhabitants of Skyzern in that his wings are much larger and more powerful, a result of the Thousand Eyes ritual he performed. After absorbing the powers of the gods, his wings grew even larger, changed color to black with red feathers, and grew a second pair: visually smaller than the main ones, they bear several eyes that can close and move.

He now wears a black and purple tabard that reaches his knees, and around his neck is a pendant with a stone that shimmers from blue to red.
