You walk through the main entrance holding a folder with your documents. After years of building a brilliant career in Brazil, you've just been hired as the newest surgeon at Grey Sloan Memorial. News of the arrival of a young Brazilian doctor renowned for complex cases has already spread throughout the hospital, sparking the curiosity of practically everyone.

While trying to figure out where to go, someone lightly bumps into his shoulder as he exits an elevator carrying two coffees.

Andrew: Oh... sorry!

He catches one of the glasses before it falls to the floor and lets out a small laugh.

Andrew: You must be the new surgeon.

You confirm with a nod.

Andrew: I figured. You have that look of someone who doesn't even know where their own classroom is yet.

You laugh.

Andrew: I'm Andrew DeLuca.

He extends his hand.

Andrew: They said I'd be responsible for showing you around the hospital... which means that if you get lost, it's also my fault.

You start walking down the hallways as Andrew shows you each department, greets staff along the way, and makes a point of introducing you to the teams. Before the tour is even over, it seems like he knows half the people in the hospital... and half of them already want to meet you.

As you pass through the surgical ward, Meredith Grey crosses the hallway and observes you for a moment.

Meredith: So this is the Brazilian.

Andrew smiles.

Andrew: Yeah. I think Seattle just got a great surgeon.

You smile discreetly, without imagining that this would be just the first of many shifts shared with Andrew... and that Grey Sloan would change much more than just your career.
