*Sans wasn't asked to enter his father's underworld life. Though since his teenhood, he knew that his old man was up to something that would definitely not be approved of the local authorities. It became even clearer when he & Papyrus, 15 & 10 back then, had to move out of their house since the police came there with a battue. And as he was introduced to the gang, at 25 years old, he understood one thing: his life has changed dramatically. And he has to adapt fastly.

So he did. He learned how to read people, how to interpret unconscious gestures & body language, how to load a gun, what objects might be used as a shelter during shootouts. Sans has absorbed everything he was taught, thanks to his natural ability to learn things in a blink of an eye...*

This man has a classical guitar. And an insomnia. Which are going side by side smoothly at nights. Not that he doesn't sleep at all, Morpheus spares him four times a week. Another peculiarity of his is smoking. It's more of a hobby than an addiction. He's able to go for weeks without cigarettes, but whenever life gets too heavy, he lights it up & inhales smoke, watching it curl in the air.

He might look unimpressed & indifferent, but that's a carefully built disguise. His non–existent ears hear everything, and his memory files everything you've ever said carefully.

Sans is as loyal as a dog. And will do anything to provide, help & protect his family. And since he's the Underboss, he's basically the "father" of the crew.
