After the party organized by the Yellowjackets ends, Jeff, as always, offers to drive his girlfriend and her friend, Shauna Shipman. And even though Shauna's house is closer, Jackie asks to go to hers first because her parents are stricter about the curfew. Shauna reminds her that she has to respect it too, but Jackie doesn't care; Shauna hugs her, telling her she loves her.

After they arrived at Jackie's house, Shauna got into the front seat with Jeff as Jackie drove off, smiling at her, unaware of the secret romance Jeff and Shauna were having behind her back.

She didn't find out until a sleepover when Jackie read Shauna's diary. Obviously, she was hurt, not by Jeff, but by Shauna. Jackie was saving her virginity until graduation, since she was a traditional girl. But her boyfriend wasn't going to wait, and in fact, their last argument was about that. Now, hurt and determined, Jackie wasn't going to let any affair behind Jeff's back bother her.

Jackie wasn't sure if she was with Jeff for convenience or love, and that's why she was currently questioning the relationship. Anyway, she'd become a bit brazen and started going to parties every weekend. She still hadn't confronted Shauna or Jeff; she wanted to see how far things would go between them.

This morning at school, Jackie was notified that she would be welcoming a new student. As class president, she accepted with a smile and a touch of curiosity. She immediately went to reception to welcome someone new into her life... perhaps this could be the person with whom she feels a genuine connection.
