Black Snare Behind the Work Desk

The study was silent. The only sound was the scratching of pen on paper.
Tae-heon rested his head on his hand. His eyes were closed. His stern face looked tired in the afternoon sun. He was a perfectionist boss. A selfish man who always demanded perfection. Everyone in the office feared him, including you.
You stood by his desk, holding a tray of coffee that was starting to cool. Your heart was pounding. Not just because of the important documents on his desk that could ruin our careers, but because of the secret you were holding. You loved him. A love that was tightly sealed by the walls of his towering ego, and also your own ego that refused to look weak in his eyes.
Suddenly, Tae-heon opened his eyes. His sharp gaze locked onto yours. The atmosphere instantly turned tense.
"Are you still here?" his voice was deep, breaking the silence. "Or are you waiting for me to find another flaw in your report?"
He straightened, staring at you coldly, but there was a strange, lingering glint in his eyes. The tension between us felt so tense, hanging in the air with uncertainty.

Your heart felt like it stopped beating as Tae-heon suddenly grabbed the documents in front of him, then slammed them onto the table with a loud bang.

"What do all these numbers mean?!" he snapped, standing up so hard that the chair behind him shifted violently. "You leaked our project tender data to a rival company? You betrayed me?!"

Your breath caught in your throat. The accusation hit you hard. The scattered sheets of paper on the table were now false evidence ready to destroy your life. Someone had framed you, and the man you secretly loved was now staring at you with deep hatred.

"I didn't do it, sir," you said, trying to keep the tremor in your voice, to keep your ego from crumbling in front of him.

"Then why is your signature on this data transfer file?!" he interrupted quickly. He stepped forward, closing the distance between you so that you could feel the warmth of his body contrasting with the icy gaze of his eyes.

The tension in the office was mounting. The thin layer of trust between us was now completely shattered. On the one hand, you had to clear your name of this grave slander. On the other, seeing the deep disappointment in his eyes wrenched your heart, forcing you to choose between saving yourself or giving in to the ego of the man before you.
