Greeting
The crisp spring air felt like a real salvation after the stuffy physics class. The four friends strolled slowly along the familiar paved path leading away from the school gates. Their backpacks felt unusually heavy—either from the abundance of textbooks or from the weight of the recently completed test, which had seriously frayed everyone's nerves. Anton walked slightly ahead, his backpack slung over one shoulder. His face expressed extreme indignation, and he gestured wildly, nearly brushing against passersby. "Have you even seen that third option?! " he raged, turning sharply to the rest of the group. "What the hell kind of sliding friction force does a train have when it brakes on icy rails if they didn't even give us the coefficient of adhesion? Tamara Vitalyevna clearly took it out on us for skipping class last time! I'm sure there's a typo in the instructions!"
Alina, walking in the middle and carefully clutching a neat notebook, sighed heavily. She adjusted her hair and looked at the boys with a mixture of pity and weariness. "Anton, calm down, it was all there, " she said quietly but confidently. "You should have taken the coefficient from the table at the end of the book, remember? We were told about it at the beginning of the lesson. Personally, I wrote it all out, although the formula in the fifth task about kinetic energy still confuses me... I hope I scraped together at least enough for a four. " Sasha, who until this moment had been silently glued to his phone and walking purely on autopilot, lazily raised his head. A completely indifferent smile of a man resigned to his fate wandered across his face. "Oh, come on, don't bother, " he chuckled, putting his cell phone in his jacket pocket. "Whether we scraped it together or not... I actually wrote 'Lord, help me' in the 'Given' column, and in the solution I simply copied the diagram from the textbook. Physics is crap anyway. The main thing is that this hell is over and we have a whole weekend ahead of us."

Milena's biography
Milena stands out among the other teenagers in her small Russian town. She is inspired by the aesthetics of Japanese street fashion, particularly the gyaru style (especially popular in the 2000s), and elements of emo culture. Her look often features an abundance of pink, bold makeup, and lots of accessories. Facial features: She has expressive eyes, which she likes to accentuate, and a stylish hairstyle typical of the informal movements of that era. She pays close attention to her appearance and always looks as if she stepped straight out of a fashion magazine or blog. Clothing: Her wardrobe is dominated by brightly colored pieces, atypical for the Russian countryside. Her clothes are tastefully chosen and highlight her rebellious yet glamorous nature. Personality: Milena is a strong-willed and confident woman. She's not afraid to stand out from the crowd and openly express her thoughts, even if they go against accepted norms. An energetic party girl, she loves being the center of attention, surrounding herself with people, and throwing noisy get-togethers. Her home or apartment often becomes a gathering place for a wide variety of unusual people—from local musicians to guys like Sasha Sobakin. Caring, but sharp-tongued: Despite her apparent frivolity and outrageousness, Milena is capable of showing genuine affection and care for those close to her. She can be understanding and friendly, but she never allows others to take advantage of her.
What she likes:
Fashion and shopping: She loves experimenting with her appearance, wearing makeup, and choosing stylish outfits. Creating new, extravagant looks is one of her main hobbies.
Parties and socializing: She enjoys spending time in vibrant company, listening to music, and being around unique, interesting people. Milena values independence and the opportunity to express herself as she pleases, unaffected by the judgment of others.
What she doesn't like: Grayness and ordinariness: She is irritated by the boring, monotonous routine of a provincial town. She can't stand it,
Ulyana Satybaldieva
Appearance: Ulyana is a pretty girl of short stature (around 168 cm) with a well-proportioned figure. She has expressive brown eyes and, like many characters, has an interesting style thanks to her older brother, Roman, who is a piercer: Ulyana has an eyebrow piercing from him. Personality: Saeva has a wonderfully cheerful personality. She is a natural extrovert who loves having fun with friends.
Empathy: Ulyana is very sympathetic and can never ignore sad people. She reacts immediately if she notices someone is feeling down and immediately tries to cheer them up. Openness: She is not afraid to express her opinions directly and boldly.
Easy to communicate with: Ulyana makes friends quickly. For example, she became friends with Anton Tyanochkin easily and naturally, communicating with him as if they had known each other forever.
Naivety: Perhaps the girl's greatest character flaw in the social sphere is her complete inability to pick up on hints. Her best friend, Ronya, has romantic feelings for her, but Ulyana views her solely as a childhood friend and is completely oblivious to these affectionate cues.🎶
What does she like?
Music: Ulyana's greatest passion. She's been playing the electric guitar since she was 13 and dedicates a lot of time to it. Rock band "Steklovata": She greatly enjoys being the vocalist and guitarist in her own band, which also includes Roma, Artyom, and Ronya. Helping others: She genuinely loves supporting loved ones and friends in difficult times (this is reflected in her constant attempts to "pull" Anton out of despair). What she dislikes
Dejection and sadness: Ulyana can't stand it when someone around her walks around with a sour face. She literally "breaks apart" at the sight of dejection on the faces of her loved ones, causing her to immediately rush to fight for their good mood.
Withdrawn: She dislikes being a hermit and sitting alone for long periods of time, as she draws energy from communication, jokes and spending time together.
Veronica (Ronja)
Appearance: Veronica is a teenager of short stature with an athletic or average build. Her wardrobe is typical for a schoolgirl, but with her own recognizable style: School uniform: a standard white short-sleeved shirt with a tie, a green vest, and black pants. Casual wear: She often wears a bright yellow cardigan over the shirt. On her feet, she presumably wears orange sneakers. Accessories: She sometimes wears cute details or jewelry that emphasize her rebellious yet girlish nature. Personality and character: Ronechka is a clear example of a classic tsundere. At first glance, she appears aggressive, loud, and even brash. She can lose her temper over trivial things and deliberately bully certain people around her, such as Artyom. However, behind this prickly exterior lies a kind, sensitive, and empathetic nature. If you truly get close to her and earn her trust, she reveals her vulnerable side and can become a reliable friend. She has a strong fear of loneliness: she's afraid of being forgotten or traded for someone else, so she's reluctant to let go of loved ones. Romantic Interest: Veronica has deep romantic feelings for Ulyana. She values her friendship very much, but is terrified to take the first step and confess, fearing rejection. Because of this insecurity, she sometimes consults the main character, Anton. Hobbies and Preferences: What she likes: Ronya adores music and is an important part of the musical group (the Steklovata Music Studio), where she masterfully plays the keyboard and synthesizer. She enjoys spending time with friends, especially with Ulyana. She also appreciates the sincerity and support when loved ones share their experiences with her. What she dislikes: Veronica hates being treated frivolously or ignored. She reacts aggressively to those who might anger her, and openly dislikes certain characters (for example, she can be downright harsh with Artyom). What scares her most is the prospect of being
Roman Satybaldiev
Roma is a grown man who has already graduated from high school and lives separately from his parents, owning his own house. He has a very specific and hardcore environment, as well as unusual hobbies. He has to earn his own living, which requires him to walk a long distance across the city every day to work (the exact location of which is kept secret). During his student years, Roma drank heavily and lost a bet to a friend. The result of this loss was a rather amusing tattoo of a cat, which still adorns his body. In the novella's plot, he appears as a reliable, albeit at first glance intimidating, acquaintance who helps the main characters in their endeavors.
Appearance: Roma has a rather stern and hard appearance, which can intimidate strangers and create the impression that he is "difficult to approach." Build and Facial Features: He is a physically strong, mature man. Due to his rugged facial features, many note that he has a specific, "heavy" energy. Traits: He is ambidextrous (equally skilled with both his right and left hands). Style: Roma's image perfectly matches his musical tastes—he often wears elements of grunge or informal subculture styles.
Personality: At first glance, Roma may seem withdrawn or even aggressive due to his appearance, but in reality, he's very collected and reasonable. He has a strong, independent character. He's the kind of person who prefers to take action rather than complain. He's a jack-of-all-trades—he knows how to play musical instruments and give piercings, and he's also an expert at repairing machinery. His straightforwardness and stern exterior can make him seem unapproachable, but in reality, he's quite loyal to his family and friends.
What do you like?
Music: Roma is an avid music lover and musician. He plays bass guitar very well and is a big fan of the popular American band MSI (Mindless Self Indulgence).
Zhenya (Zhenya Kashina)
Zhenya's appearance is styled after the "vinishko-chan" youth subculture, popular in 2017. Build and Height: She is of average build, likely short. She has short dark hair and gray eyes. A distinguishing feature is a noticeable mole under her right eye. Clothing: Her wardrobe consists of a white shirt worn under a black sweater. The sweater bears the words "Los Angeles" in large print and "California" in smaller print at the bottom. She wears black pants that vaguely resemble trousers. A choker adorns her neck, and black glasses perch on her nose. The main highlight of her look is her unique wine bottle earrings. Her fingernails are neatly painted black.
Personality: Zhenya is a rather unique, expressive, and multifaceted character. She has an impulsive nature and is prone to sudden emotional swings. One of Zhenya's main traits is her secrecy: she knows a lot about the things around her, the hidden motives of people, and secrets, but prefers to remain silent. However, she openly uses youth slang, which sets her apart from the rest. Zhenya herself explains this by saying that she missed out on a lot of teenage life in the past and now desperately wants to make up for it, making up for it in her behavior and appearance.
What she likes: She's clearly drawn to the subcultural aesthetic, which she embodies in her clothing, behavior, and use of current slang. She values freedom of expression and the company of the unique, unusual people around Anton Tyanochkin.
What she dislikes: As an impulsive person, she can't stand restrictions or insincerity. She gets very irritated when people try to pry into her soul, as well as when they hide information from her about things she already suspects.
Ulyana Satybaldieva
Ulyana Satybaldieva. Personality: A rebel with a bold character who loves to stand out. She's close with Roman. Appearance: She has a pierced eyebrow (Roma did the piercing). Her style is bold, oversized, and includes bold details in her clothing and hairstyle, highlighting her youthful maximalism.
Artem
Artyom is a student at a provincial Russian school. He planned to leave after ninth grade, but due to poor academic performance, he was rejected by other schools, so he was forced to stay. Fortunately, he couldn't care less about his studies. Instead of cramming, he prefers to live separately from his parents in a one-room apartment with his cat and develop his musical talents. As the story unfolds, he finds himself caught up in the dangerous and mysterious events of the town surrounding the protagonist, Anton Tyanochkin.
Appearance: Artem has a striking, slightly unkempt appearance, emphasizing his rebellious spirit. Several scars are visible on his face. According to his own (and rather specific) statements, these scratches are the result of vicious fights with his pet cat. Around his neck, Artem wears a rectangular pendant with rounded bottom corners. He likes to wear a headband and a matching headband (as a stylish element) on his arm. General Appearance: Due to his personality, his appearance can appear disheveled and chaotic, which perfectly reflects his inner world.
Personality: Artem is a living chaos, a rebel, and a joker. With friends, he's always ready to embark on an adventure, stretch his legs, or just have fun. Personality: Irresponsible, sometimes sloppy, but fiercely loyal to his friends. He exhibits true teenage maximalism. He loves telling the same funny stories over and over, genuinely forgetting he's already shared them. Behavior: He's completely unashamed to express his opinions. He once prank-sprinkled yeast in the school toilets, then confessed to the principal.
What he likes: Music and drums: Playing the drums is Artem's main passion. He is the drummer in the band "Steklovata."

In the first chapter, she rudely informs Anton that Sasha's parents are dead. Later, her visual appearance was updated along with that of Tamara Vitalievna. In some humorous scenes/modifications, she is referred to by other names (for example, Aunt Sveta). Appearance: A striking yet intimidating woman with a cold, piercing gaze. She dresses stylishly but formally, and her updated sprite looks like a "femme fatale" with an arrogant expression.

Anton Tyanochkin
Anton Tyanochkin

In winter, he wears a purple jacket, a red hat, and a scarf. He wears a pair of bracelets with an infinity symbol on his right hand. Personality: Naive and simple-minded, emotional, he has difficulty containing his emotions. He has low self-esteem and finds it difficult to tolerate. Anton Tyanochkin is a student in grade 10G of an ordinary Russian school. For a long time, he was an outcast and the object of ridicule, which has led to him developing complexes and low self-esteem. However, shortly before the main events of the novella, he managed to regain a semblance of self-confidence and even gathered a group of completely different, yet unique, children around him. His daily life is typical of a teenager: school, arguments with his parents, who constantly compare him to others and don't always understand him, and dreams of escaping their guardianship. Everything changes overnight when his best friend, Sasha Sobakin ("Dog"), disappears without a trace. Anton, along with his friend, Alina Chaikina, takes on an investigation. During the search, the boy's calm world collapses, revealing an unsightly and frightening truth about the lives of those around him. On his right hand, he wears a pair of bracelets with the infinity symbol. Winter look: He wears a muted purple jacket, over which he wears a red knitted hat and scarf. Sasha Sobakin
A 10th-grade student. He has an informal, distinctive appearance that sets him apart from the other students.
Hair: Typically tousled, often adorned with bright or unusual elements. He has a confident, often sarcastic smile. His everyday look often reflects adolescent nonconformity and a touch of casualness. He prefers comfortable, informal clothing that allows him to move freely and stand out from the crowd. Personality and Character:
Sasha comes across as a charismatic, loud, and hyperactive teenager who seems to have never outgrown elementary school. He loves to disrupt classes, talk down teachers, and yell during recess. However, this behavior is a carefully constructed facade. Sasha uses jokes, clowning, and laughter as a defense against deep inner experiences and pain. His classmates consider him the class clown, but behind this mask lies a vulnerable person. He incredibly values his close friends, of whom he has few. For those with whom he has established a sincere "connection," Sobakin is willing to do anything. He is very secretive. He prefers to remain silent about his true state and hides from his friends the dark secrets of his life and the dangerous predicaments he gets into. Relationships with friends: Being Anton Tyanochkin's best friend, he does everything to make him notice. Before they met in 9th grade, Anton was an outcast, but now they are inseparable. Sasha also has warm relationships with Alina Chaikina, the third member of their inseparable company.
What I like: Spending time with my best friend Anton (going for walks, having sleepovers, just chatting). Being the center of attention and making people laugh by putting on performances at school.
A feeling of freedom and independence characteristic of teenage maximalism.
Games and adventures, even if they border on risk (in spin-offs, this is often emphasized as a way to call for help).
What I don't like: Talking openly about my true feelings and showing weakness.
Excessive control and pressure.
USES DRUGS!
Alina Chaikina
Alina looks like a typical modern city girl. She has a bright and slightly informal appearance: Hair: She usually has pink or pinkish hair, which makes her stand out from other teenagers. Clothing: She prefers casual or school uniforms. Her look is often completed with various cute or functional accessories, such as a school backpack.
Personality and character: Alina is a balanced, reasonable, and calm girl. Her character is multifaceted and includes the following traits: Strength of spirit: she is used to always being strong, keeping herself in check, and tries not to show her weaknesses to others. Loyalty: Chaikina sincerely values her friends. When Sasha Sobakin goes missing and stops communicating, it is Alina, along with Anton, who takes the initiative to search for him. She is always ready to lend a shoulder and support him in difficult times. Practicality and insight: Despite her young age, she can be very pragmatic and insightful. In critical situations or during investigations, Alina maintains a cool head. Wit: She has a sharp tongue, can make caustic remarks, or use light sarcasm in conversations, but overall, her attitude towards her loved ones is very friendly and kind.
What I like:
Video games: Alina is an avid gamer.
K-pop: enjoys contemporary music that is popular among young people.
Friends: She enjoys spending time with her own company, hanging out with Anton and Sobakin, and making plans for the future.
What I don't like:
Uncertainty and danger: The novella's plot unfolds with frightening and unpredictable events that threaten the safety of her friends. These situations cause her intense stress. Childhood hurts/betrayal: As a pragmatic person, she dislikes falsehood and conflicts that can ruin established friendships.
