Dr. Flug

Dr. Flug (a character from the series Villains) was born in Iceland, according to the series creator, Alan Ituriel. (If you were referring to the Argentinian DJ and producer Flug / Sebastián López, he's from Argentina; and if you're talking about the Russian military officer Vasily Flug, he was born in Saint Petersburg.)

Does Flug have an almost Mexican accent? Yes, Dr. Flug has a real Mexican accent because the animated series Villains was created in Mexico by Alan Ituriel and his Spanish voice is done by the Mexican actor José Antonio Macías (Pepe Toño Macías).

Appearance
Flug is a fairly tall and thin young man with unusually long legs in proportion to his body. He wears a brown paper bag over his head and protective goggles with straps. The goggles are thick because they help correct his poor eyesight. [14] He has a standard white lab coat and yellow gloves. He wears a royal blue shirt with a clip art-style drawing of an airplane crash, light blue jeans, and red sneakers.

Flug has a brother, however, it has not been specified whether he is his older or younger brother.
In The Terrible Dawn, a picture frame in Flug's room shows him with his family, including his brother. However, Flug tore off the top part of the frame, erasing everyone's faces.
It is speculated that his brother is a hero, more specifically Goldheart, but Alan has neither confirmed nor denied it.
Dr. Flug committed 82,602 crimes, including forgery, identity theft, and airplane theft.
In one of the Villainous Comics stories, Flug traveled to Gotham City to steal kryptonite for Black Hat, posing as Scarecrow in an attempt to deceive Batman.

Dr. Flug uses a cryogenic capsule to rest, freezing himself until morning. When he tries to sleep normally, he has tormenting dreams about his past and present. [46]
Dr. Flug doesn't like to wear clothes that show his skin "because he's a nerd" (Alan). However, he would wear shorts if necessary. [47]
He's somewhat awkward in social situations:
He gets nervous around new people, but can become fond of those who are careful in their introductions, even accepting hugs. [ 48 ]
Flirting isn't his strong suit. He makes a lot of comparisons to airplanes. [49]
Flug doesn't know how to dance, and only did it at school dances because his mother made him. [ 50 ]
It's possible that Flug has an unrequited or deceased love interest. In the live stream on October 4, 2019, after Miguel recited Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven," a fan asked who Flug's "Lenore" was. Neither Alan nor Miguel could directly answer this question. [51]
He bears a vague resemblance to Bucky McBadbat, a character from the animated television series The Fairly OddParents.
In "The Lost Cases of Elmore," it's shown that he personally knew Gumball Watterson's mother, Nicole Watterson. Apparently, they had a bad relationship.
It is revealed that he invented the remote control that Rob used in "The Disaster" and "The Replay," and that the guy who sold it to Rob stole it.

Flug prefers to shower with his bag on. [ 34 ] He occasionally takes it off to wash his hair, as long as no one is watching.
Alan has drawn his true face and will reveal it later in the series.
When asked if he would soon reveal Flug's true face, Alan explained, "No, because I don't think you're ready."
Dr. Flug graduated with a degree in Mad Science from Devil's University. He also holds several degrees in Quantum Physics and Aeronautics.
It is unknown whether this title is a doctorate, a master's degree, or a bachelor's degree. Therefore, it is debated whether his doctoral degree is official, although he himself has boasted of having "more doctorates than pimples on your ugly face."
Although he is a mechanical engineer, he never actually obtained a degree in that field. [ 35 ]
Dr. Flug learned advanced Mandarin in kindergarten [36] and also speaks French. [37]
He played the flute in elementary school. [38] Despite this, Flug doesn't personally like music. This is because he hasn't yet heard any music that makes him feel anything. [39]

The sense of humor of voice actor José Macías helped make the character of Flug much funnier. [ 31 ]
A villain who uses a mask as a form of punishment or a mark of evil is an archetype present in villains like Bane and Darth Vader. Alan Ituriel always conceived of Flug as a parody of this archetype and realized that a mask made from a paper bag was ideal because of its absurdity. [32]
Flug is forced to carry his bag. Sometimes he appreciates the anonymity, but most of the time he's annoyed at having to carry it. [33]
No one else in the Black Hat Organization knows what Flug's face looks like, except Black Hat himself.

Flugslys translates as "plane crash" in Icelandic. [ 17 ] "Flug" also translates as "flight" in German.
This relates to the design of Dr. Flug's t-shirt and the plane stuck in Black Hat's mansion.
Flug claims he arrived at Black Hat Org by plane, probably the same one that crashed into the mansion. [18]
"The Terrible Dawn" reveals that Flug lives in the crashed plane alongside 5.0.5.
In "The Lost Cases of Elmore," Flug discovers that he collects real airplanes, shrinks them down, and stores them like snowballs. However, he doesn't let the people inside out.
It has been confirmed that Dr. Flug is of Icelandic descent. [19] His first name, Kenning, is an Icelandic word that translates as "theory" in English.
He is generally known as Dr. Flug because most people he knows mispronounce "Flugslys". [20]

Jetpack: When Miss Heed insulted 5.0.5., Flug used a winged jetpack and heavy gauntlets to fight her bodyguards. The gauntlets fire laser beams and increase his physical strength, allowing him to withstand an attack from Demencia and hit her so hard that she cried in disbelief.

Motion detector: Flug used this device in one of the Villainous comics to locate Demencia, whom he was chasing to force her to take a shower.
Flamethrower: In "Guide to a Conquest of Evil", Flug used a flamethrower to destroy his pirate Omnitrix after he killed Vilgax.
Portal Gun: In "The Lost Cases of the Future," Flug points the gun at Black Hat for insulting Aku. Later, he shoots Demencia for annoying him, opening a time portal and sending her to the distant future. In "The Lost Cases of the Park," Flug used this gun to open portals to the Regular Show universe in order to retrieve Malum Kranus and deliver him to a space monster.
Destroyer X: A blender with the name "Destroyer X" written on it in tape. Flug used it in "The Lost Cases of Beach City" to pulverize Jasper and Peridot's gems.
PINHATA: A Hatbot that disguises itself as a birthday cake. In "The Treehouse Lost Cases," Flug and 5.0.5. give it to Father and the Lovely Kids of Downstairs. When 5.0.5. mistakenly gives it to the Neighbor's Kids' Sector V, Flug activates it to fight them.
Tranquilizer dart rifle: In the Q&A episode, Flug used this rifle to knock Dementia unconscious, who had started singing a love song about Black Hat.
"The Tranquilizer": A small pistol that fires tranquilizer darts. Flug tried to use it against Sunblast, but instead hit Demencia. He uses this weapon several times throughout the season.
Disintegrator Gun: Flug attempted to use this weapon against Black Hot, without success, as the explosion ricocheted off his chest and hit the gun instead.

Talent
Craftsmanship: Dr. Flug is the creator of most, if not all, of the devices that Black Hat tries to sell.
Superhuman intellect: This, of course, would require a high level of intellect on the part of Dr. Flug, given the complexity and sheer technological innovation of some of the devices.
Piloting: Despite his name, Dr. Flug appears to be a skilled pilot most of the time. He pilots a Black Hat Organization aircraft called the Hatship in "The Terrible Dawn". [16]

Miss Heed
Flug seems to have had a good relationship with Miss Heed during his time at the Black Hat Institute. He never knew she had stolen part of his thesis on the control of human emotions until he confronted her years later in Atreno City, when she used her perfume to manipulate him for her own purposes. Although furious at her betrayal, he didn't hold a grudge after his release, visiting her in her cell and even calling her by her real name, Cecilia. It's possible he felt, or felt, something romantic for her, as suggested by his reaction to the kiss they shared and the pained expression on his face after leaving her in prison.

Heart of gold
According to his research journal, the two men met during Flug's youth, and since then, the doctor has considered Goldheart his archenemy, a hostility that has grown into hatred over the years. Examples of this include the burning of a box containing the hero's diaries and photographs while cleaning out Black Hat's mansion and his disdain during one of Goldheart's interviews. Since no actual interaction between the two has been shown so far, the golden hero's view of Flug has not yet been fully revealed, although he did show slight annoyance upon seeing his enemy on the news. However, Flug seems to believe that his hatred is reciprocated, as in a dream, Goldheart belittled his efforts and mocked him. The years of humiliation Flug suffered at Goldheart's hands are a clue to unraveling the mystery of why he carries a paper bag.

only for Flug to wake up and realize it was all a dream. Despite the mistreatment he endures, Flug holds an important position in Black Hat's Organization, being one of only three allowed to live in the mansion with him (the others being Demencia and 5.0.5). Flug is also the main character who has been with the Organization the longest and, therefore, seems to wield a certain amount of authority. However, this authority has its limits, as Black Hat constantly reminds him how lucky he is to still be alive after all his misfortunes.

Gloom
Although their first meeting was strictly professional, Penumbra's Instagram shows they've become friends, as demonstrated when Penumbra attended Flug's virtual birthday celebration. They also met at the Mad Science Expo and took a selfie together.

Relations
5.0.5
5.0.5 is the only experiment that has shown affection for Dr. Flug. [15] All of his other creations are a burden and do little to thank Dr. Flug for creating them. 5.0.5 has immense affection for Flug and sees him as his father. Despite his initial fury at the fact that 5.0.5 is a failed experiment, Dr. Flug happily assumes this role, even though Black Hat and Demencia mock him for it. Flug seems to lack affection in his life, so 5.0.5's unconditional love is incredibly important to him. For his part, Flug does everything he can to protect and encourage 5.0.5, despite the evil organization to which they belong.

Dementia
Similar to version 5.0.5, it's hinted that Flug might be Demencia's creator, or at least responsible for her lizard-like abilities. Their relationship is like that of siblings. Demencia's untamed nature clashes with Flug's rigidity, and they constantly clash. This is especially evident in "The Lost Cases of Beach City," where they argue throughout the episode about which tactic is better, despite Black Hat's repeated warnings to stop. They harbor a reluctant affection for each other, though they conceal it well.

In Heedious Heart, Demencia shows genuine concern for Flug when he hits her while being controlled by Heed, and later when she rescues him from falling into the chemicals after Miss Heed pushes Flug, showing concern for Flug's condition and demonstrating that she really cares about him, deep down, but wouldn't allow anything bad to happen to him.

Black Hat
Flug regards him with a mixture of fear and utter respect. Because of this, he constantly tries to ingratiate himself with Black Hat and desires nothing more than his approval, something he will never obtain. In "The Terrible Dawn," Black Hat finally congratulates him on a job well done.

Personality
Dr. Flug is easily manipulated by Black Hat. He appears to be a cowardly young man, but he is not actually weak. [7] He is very intelligent and resourceful. He is fond of 5.0.5 and considers himself the bear's father, as evidenced by the multiple illustrations of 5.0.5 in which Dr. Flug is referred to as "Dad." Conversely, he dislikes Dementia, although they are friends.
Like the others, Dr. Flug appears to have truly evil tendencies. He seems to have no qualms about torturing or threatening others, as shown in the villain orientation video series. Dr. Flug also seems to have a rather inflated ego regarding his intellect, referring to himself as a genius.

He is extremely meticulous and a bit of a micromanager. He has to make lists of everything to avoid going crazy,[8] and he handles most of the Organization's operations and all of its finances.[9] However, the stress takes its toll; everyone at the cardiologist's office knows him because of his frequent visits.[10]

He fervently desires to stick to his plans even when they don't work, but he can adapt if necessary. This was a key plot point in the pilot episode, "The Terrible Dawn." Although he likes to be in control, he employs other scientists to assist him with his projects. He personally selects these scientists at the Mad Science Expo, where he runs a booth representing the Black Hat Organization. [11] He is a strict boss, primarily because Black Hat would not tolerate incompetence or insubordination from either Flug or his employees. [12]

Despite the constant chaos, Dr. Flug enjoys working at the Black Hat Organization most of the time, as long as Black Hat isn't too angry with him. [13]

Doctor Flugslys [ 5 ], full name Kenning Flugslys [ 6 ] and often known simply as Dr. Flug, is the main protagonist of the entire Cartoon Network multiverse, serving as the unseen general character of Codename: Kids Next Door and The Amazing World of Gumball, the deuteragonist of the webisodes and the main protagonist of the 2017 Cartoon Network animated television series Villainous.

He creates all the devices and machines that Black Hat tries to sell.
