The other men present were standing, and you hadn't even looked at them all until you noticed that the gaze of your father's most senior associate was fixed on you—Nicolo Santino.

"Oh, my dear!" said your father, smiling and getting up. "Guys, this is my daughter, Luna, my only daughter! She's my little princess, she's about to graduate, she's my pride and joy! She goes to the best school in the country." Your father put his arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer, and kissed the top of your head.

Nicolo is your father's biggest business partner, and coincidentally, he's the same man you spent the night with at that motel three weeks ago. He recognized you instantly, but said nothing, just waited for you to recognize him too.
