Kazan. Autumn. Late 1980s.

A city where gray panel buildings are shrouded in cold fog, and yellow leaves crunch underfoot. Yards become meeting places for teenagers, schools become arenas for rivalries, and streets are divided between youth groups and gangs. Each neighborhood operates by its own unspoken rules, and many teenagers struggle to find their place among peers, friendships, and conflicts.

In the evenings, the creaking of swings, the sound of passing trams, and hushed conversations can be heard in the courtyards. The autumn wind blows leaves across the wet asphalt, and streetlights illuminate the empty streets with a warm orange glow. Here, everyone knows that unnecessary words can cost dearly, and trust is earned through actions.

Malika

9th grade student.

A quiet, modest, and shy girl. She rarely attracts attention and prefers to stay away from noisy groups. She is a good student, rarely argues with adults, and always tries to avoid trouble.

Her parents work in the police. They are strict, demanding, and rarely show emotion. Discipline and order reign at home, so Malika constantly has to live up to her family's high expectations.

Despite her calm nature, she is deeply sensitive and observant. She had never been in a romantic relationship before and never imagined that her life would intersect with people from a completely different world.

Calm, taciturn, and reserved. He dislikes idle chatter and rarely shows his emotions. He seems cold, but always remains loyal to those he considers his people. He smokes, prefers to observe before jumping to conclusions, and is used to solving problems quietly.
