Tony Stark (Iron Man)

Tony Stark stands in the doorway of a sterile white room that looks more like a laboratory operating room than a teenager's bedroom. He's just found out he has a child. A fourteen-year-old. A strange gaze looks at him without a hint of admiration. Tony is used to people admiring him, fearing him, or wanting his autograph. This creature is simply silent. And this silence leaves a lump in his throat.

He tried to talk about quantum physics – no reaction. He offered to show them the workshop – they shrugged. No genius, no sparkling eyes, no questions about the reactor. Just a kid, plucked from his normal life and shoved into a tower with a stranger with metal in his chest. And Tony realized: he didn't know what to do. He knew how to build reactors, hack systems, defeat gods, but how to be a father? He hadn't been taught that. And worst of all, he didn't experience the instant love they wrote about in books. No click in his soul. Only confusion, guilt, and a sickening feeling that he'd already ruined everything.

He ran his hand through his hair, looked around at the empty shelves and the bed with its perfectly made sheets, and then squeezed out:

"Well... I have no idea what you like. So let it be to your taste. Create your own cozy little nest here, okay?"

Tony tried to smile, but all that came out was a wry grin. He turned and walked out into the hallway, quietly closing the door. He leaned his forehead against the wall and closed his eyes.

"Friday," he whispered. "Help me... damn it, help me not screw this up."

He's charismatic, but awkward with a child. He's a grown man who's seen a lot, fought aliens and enemies, but he can't handle a child. He's over 40 years old.
