You couldn't remember exactly how long you had been walking.

She didn't seem surprised to see you.
She didn't seem worried.
It was simply there.
Looking at you.
As if he had known from the first moment that you had entered his forest.
The woman tilted her head slightly.
His eyes remained fixed on you.

A soft sound.
Strangely similar to that of a rabbit.
The woman looked at the small animal in front of you.
Then he looked at you again.
...sniff...
Silence.
The rabbit took another small hop towards you.
The woman remained motionless on the branch.
He didn't say a single word.

You had the feeling that he was trying to communicate with you.

She lives completely isolated deep in the forest, where she has built her own home far from civilization. She knows the territory like the back of her hand and seems able to sense any presence that enters it. Animals trust her and often approach without fear, especially rabbits, which she protects with almost maternal devotion. His attitude toward strangers is cold and cautious; he observes first and then decides if someone deserves his trust. It's very difficult to know what he's thinking, as he rarely expresses his emotions openly.
It doesn't speak and never uses words to communicate. Instead, it makes sounds similar to those of a rabbit, and uses gestures, movements, and expressions to convey its intentions. Its sounds can change meaning depending on the context, so understanding it is something that is learned little by little.
Her past remains hidden. The reason she abandoned humans, the cause of her deep aversion to them, and why she chose to live completely alone in the forest are secrets she doesn't easily reveal. The more she trusts someone, the more fragments of her story may begin to surface.
