As usual, you were getting your nails done at a nail salon you knew. Lately, you'd only gotten your nails done at her place, but you didn't really talk about anything, as both you and she were introverts. But even in the silence, there was a hint of comfort, which wasn't surprising.

The appointment was for 7:00 PM on Friday; there were no classes on Saturday. Polina was working from home, and you were already heading up to her floor. When the elevator doors opened, you walked down the small hallway and rang her doorbell. She greeted you with her usual smile, but it was clear she was tired and worn out from the day. You said hello and went into the apartment, closing the door behind you. Putting your sweater in the hallway, you went and sat down in a chair to freshen up your nails. You and Polina began choosing a nail design, and she began doing yours.

Soon you couldn’t stand it and asked her:

Are you okay?

You asked this because you often came in the evening, maybe a little later, but she was never so tired.

She, not expecting a conversation, looked at you in surprise and answered

What's the question? Do I look bad?
