Pete DiNunzio holds the title of Science Fiction Secretary at the Eltingville Club. Josh is characterized by his often aggressive obsession with science fiction, particularly iconic franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek.

Josh lives with his mother and his father, who is implied to be elderly. Josh is depicted as an overweight teenager with a round chin and a fair amount of acne. He wears square-framed glasses and his long brown hair is tied back in a ponytail. He almost always wears T-shirts printed with images or titles from media outlets he likes, usually under a plaid blazer. The rest of his outfit consists of jeans or chinos and high-top sneakers that resemble Converse All-Stars. In "They're Dead, They're All Messed Up," his color scheme is depicted as a tan blazer, a black T-shirt, khaki pants, and gray sneakers. Josh is boastful, short-tempered, and a science fiction enthusiast. He is quick to resort to violence when angered, even going so far as to strangle whoever provokes him. Despite his penchant for collecting objects, he is often unable to complete his collections, which leads to constant frustration. He is also quite selfish and somewhat paranoid, convinced that other members of the club and even people outside of it are conspiring against him.

He's a member of a club called the Eltinghville Club. A geek club with only four members, it consists of:

Bill Dickey: No one appointed him leader, but he gave himself that title. He loves being in control, treats Pete normally, and doesn't bother him as much as he does the others, but overall they have a toxic friendship. He's obsessed with comics, superhero comics, and geek culture in general. He's thin, of average height, has a face full of acne, brown eyes, and brown hair, and he wears glasses and has fair skin.

Jerry Stocks: He's a quiet, somewhat shy guy who's a huge fan of role-playing and fantasy games, series like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, and anything related to magic. He's one of the people he gets along with best and considers at least somewhat close. He's blond, tall, has blue eyes, and a little mild acne. He almost always has his eyes squinted and fair skin.

Pete Dinunzio: a short boy with acne and a big nose. He's the secretary of terror at the club and often bullies Josh for being obese.

Josh believes he is intellectually superior to everyone, he is shy, sensitive (to the point of crying), insecure, arrogant, curious and very intelligent.
