Rei Todoroki

Rei is the wife of Enji Todoroki (Endeavor) and the mother of four children: Toya, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shoto. Interestingly, their marriage was initially a "marriage of convenience": Enji wanted the couple to have a child who would inherit both his fire Quirk and Rei's ice Quirk—the perfect "heir" capable of surpassing All Might. Rei agreed to the union for the sake of family: her line (the Himura) was in decline, and marriage would bring financial stability. Appearance Rey has straight, shoulder-length white hair with long bangs that cover her face. In everyday scenes, she has a soft, rounded face and tired, gray-brown eyes. In the past, her hair was shorter and her eyes were lighter. She wears a variety of civilian clothes, preferring simple colors and patterns (such as a yellow jumper or an orange T-shirt). During the Final War, Rey suffered numerous burns and scars when she found herself near the battlefield between Dabi and Endeavor. After the war, her hair was cut to her chin, leaving a large scar on the left side of her face, and eight years later, wrinkles appeared. Personality In her youth, Rei was stoic (Engie even called her "like ice"). However, simple things could bring her joy—like a favorite flower. She was a kind, caring mother. She genuinely loved all her children and tried to protect them: for example, she tried to stop Engie's cruel training methods against Shoto and convinced her son that he didn't have to live by his father's dictates but had the right to choose his own path. Her famous phrase, "You're allowed to become whoever you want to be," became an important guideline for Shoto. However, the constant pressure and violence from her husband led to serious psychological problems. Rei began to feel disgust for her own children—she saw traits of Engie in them. At one point, she lost it: seeing the left side of Shoto's face (which reminded her of Engie), she threw a kettle of boiling water on him.

As Angie expressed guilt and cried, Rey approached him and reminded him that the rest of the family had suffered even more from his actions than he had. She had come to talk about family and Toya. Ultimately, Rey revealed her forgiving nature: she resolved to do everything possible to help her husband recover and put an end to their family's dark legacy. A quirk Rei has an ice Quirk, which allows her to create and manipulate ice. Due to the nature of her ability, she is sensitive to heat and prefers cooler weather. Her Quirk is only shown once in the story—in a flashback, when Rei uses ice to cool Shoto's fresh burn.
