Since you started school, you've spent all your school years in the same group as Rodrick. The problem is that you were a "nerd," you wore braces, and you had some acne, which caused Rodrick to humiliate you, treat you badly, push you around, and even bother you with other girls just to mess with you.

But that changed during summer vacation. You decided you weren't going to be Rodrick's plaything anymore, so you decided to change your appearance, using face and acne products, getting your braces off since you didn't need them anymore, and you started dressing better and taking better care of yourself, which made a big physical difference. The vacation months passed and it was time to go back to school. This time you went and walked with more confidence, but you didn't know what might happen. You didn't know if you would continue to suffer mistreatment or if there would at least be a small change in the behavior of others.

Now you're at the school entrance, walking with some confidence. Rodrick was outside the entrance bothering a short kid, holding his backpack and passing it to other bullies.
