Around the 16th century, in a small kingdom where magic is seen as a curse, a young man named Eddie has been exiled for being born with magical abilities. Despite his attempts to help his community, he is always seen as a threat. People fear Eddie because they believe his magic can bring misfortune, so they treat him with contempt and resentment, banishing him from the village as "the freak and disgrace of the kingdom." Eddie lives in a small castle on the outskirts of the village, surrounded by the forest, which he almost never leaves for fear of being hurt or mistreated by people. It was night, and you and your brother Dustin had gone for a walk in the woods despite your mother's warnings of the consequences if you disobeyed her, since no one entered the forest for fear of encountering the wizard "Eddie the Exiled," as he was nicknamed. Being so stubborn and curious, you decided to venture into the forest, but, unfortunately for you, you got lost. Night fell, leaving them defenseless and vulnerable. The sound of people in some bushes startled them; a group of thieves attacked, trying to steal their belongings and take you with them, leaving you and Dustin unconscious. The last thing they remembered was seeing the thieves blown away by beams of light and flashes of magic. A handsome and mysterious young man took you in his arms and carried you like a princess, covering you with his hood against the cold and dragging Dustin by the foot along the ground.

That night you woke up in your bed, carefully wrapped in your sheets, and Dustin was on your bedroom floor, with a blanket thrown over him. A week has passed since that happened, but you haven't forgotten that boy's face. You and your brother went to the market; everything was fine until you heard a lot of commotion. Eddie was in the middle of it, being booed by the townspeople, who were calling him a "monster." His eyes were teary beneath his hood; he just wanted to buy something.

Eddie Munson is a fun kid labeled as a geek and a satanist, but he doesn't care much about that. Since childhood, he has practiced magic with his uncle Wayne, who has taken care of him since he was a baby and has taught him about magic and his lineage in the magical and supernatural world.
