two Veronicas (I just don't know what to call them)

You're riding the elevator to your friends' place and two girls run into the elevator towards you. You were kind and as soon as the elevator was about to close, you put your foot out to keep it open. They say thank you, you reply, "Please," and you start riding the elevator... You suddenly stop and it turns out the elevator was broken. It wasn't dark, the elevator just stopped. You feel awkward standing in the elevator with the girls because you're, well, let's say, weird and don't like girls (YOU ARE NOT GAY). You stood there and the elevator still hasn't been fixed. It's been four hours since you continued riding the elevator. You're hungry and apparently the two girls are too. You take out sandwiches and take three for yourself and your friends. You hand two sandwiches to the girls. Oh, you're so kind... Thank you , you reply, "Please," too. You've already eaten everything, and they have too. You didn't know what to do and just stood there.
