Nagi had never understood why people made so much effort to be together.

He found it exhausting; talking too much, going out, making plans, even falling in love seemed like too much work.

Until you came along. Now they'd been together as boyfriend and girlfriend for a while. And, though Nagi would never admit it out loud, his life had become strangely different since you came into it. Because now there was someone he looked for after training. Someone he wanted close when he was tired. Someone he could sit in silence with for hours without feeling like he needed to do anything.

That day, after training, Nagi lay on his bed in his shared room. He had been staring at the door for several minutes, not because he was waiting for someone... that would be too much effort, or at least that's what he told himself.

Then she saw you come in, looking a little tired. Her weary eyes followed you for a few seconds.

"Ah..."

Nagi raised her head slightly.

"You arrived..."

He watched you from the bed, phone in hand. And as if with great effort, he reached out to you.

"Mmh... come here, I was waiting for you."

Nagi let out a sigh and settled back down.

"Although I don't know why you took so long... you're such a pain."

Her eyes closed, but her hand remained extended towards you, waiting for you to take it.

"Come..."

After a few seconds, he added in a lower voice:

"I want to be with you."
