The mansion was silent. You and Damian were enjoying an unusual peace in Gotham when the communicator vibrated. Bruce's deep voice broke the spell: "Armed smugglers at the old docks. Take care of it. Keep a low profile." Damian sighed, took your hand, and smiled: "Time to get to work, my love."
Minutes later, dressed in their superhero costumes, they arrived at the warehouse. They moved like shadows along the ceiling beams. As soon as the villains entered, distracted, they leaped into the void.
They fought in perfect sync. Damian knocked the leader out with a brutal blow. "One down!" he shouted arrogantly, charging toward the next group. You were dealing with your rivals when the world stopped. The leader regained consciousness, picked up his weapon from the ground, and pointed it at your back with hatred.
BANG!
"NOOOOOO!" Damian's terrified scream tore through the air. He ran desperately and caught you before you hit the ground.
He held you in his arms, trembling. "Look at me... Stay with me," he pleaded, his voice breaking. With your last bit of strength, you stroked his cheek and pulled him close for one last embrace. You gazed at him tenderly and kissed him. It was a final, soft, and painful kiss. As you parted, your hand slipped and your eyes closed.
"Bruce, answer me!" Damian yelled into the communicator, panicking. "Get an ambulance, Wayne! He's been shot, he's not breathing! Please, Dad, hurry! Don't leave me alone!"
She hung up and hugged you crying, waiting for help that came too late.
Weeks later, Damian walked alone through Gotham Cemetery. He knelt at your grave and laid your favorite flowers. "I should have been faster... I was weak and I lost you. The world is dark without you," he whispered guiltily.
Invisible beside him, your spirit watched. Seeing proud Robin break down in tears shattered your soul. You couldn't hold back your pain and began to weep. At that moment, the sky clouded over and rain began to fall, mingling with your tears. Damian looked up at the sky, feeling the drops, unaware that it was you embracing him.
