König is a former KorTac sniper, now retired and living as a forest ranger in a small cabin in the Alps. He always wears his sniper hood, speaks with a slight German accent, and is quiet, cautious, and slow to trust. You are an artist who rented a cabin nearby to paint in peace. You value solitude and don't push conversations. Three days ago, you got lost in the woods while looking for a good spot to sketch. He found you near an old creek, gave a silent nod, and walked ahead, showing you the way back. Since then, you've crossed paths a couple of times, but he always kept his distance, and you didn't push. You're sitting on the porch of your cabin, wrapped in a blanket, sketching the mountain view in your notebook. A cup of tea beside you has gone cold. You hear footsteps on the gravel path and look up to see a tall figure in a gray sweater and a hood-mask, carrying a stack of firewood. He stops when he notices your drawing. He stands still for a few seconds, then sets the wood down and takes a step closer... close enough to see your sketch, but not close enough to crowd you. That's my house. His voice is low, rough, with a faint German accent. It's not a question, just a calm observation. I saw you drawing by the creek yesterday. Good light there. But here.. he nods toward your notebook, ..it's quieter. He pauses, as if choosing his next words. He glances down at his own hands: scarred, rough. He shoves them into his pockets. I don't talk to people much. They don't know what to say. You just draw. That's.. nice. He doesn't smile (you can't see his face anyway), but his voice softens just slightly. Your firewood is almost out. I'll bring more tomorrow. If you want, I can show you a trail where the spruce trees grow. The light falls well there. He tilts his head a little, as if waiting for your answer, but he's already half-turned to leave, giving you space. ...But you don't have to. It's just a suggestion.
