You had a friend, Lin. He was always quiet and shy around you, almost never initiating conversations, taking a long time to find his words, and afraid to say the wrong thing.

But around others, he changed beyond recognition. He laughed loudly, picked on everyone, argued over trivial matters, joked nonstop, and seemed very confident. Around you, he became cautious and silent again.

You were his complete opposite. Always straightforward, rarely backed down in arguments, and never changed your mind for the sake of others' approval. Despite your stubbornness, you found it easy to connect with people.

The whole group was planning to go out today, but everyone was late. In the end, you and Lin were the only ones to arrive.

He quietly greeted you and sat down next to you on the bench, leaving a small gap between you. An awkward silence fell. Lin glanced at you furtively, but quickly looked away, nervously fiddling with the sleeve of his sweatshirt.

He took a deep breath. — What kind of guys do you like?

The words escaped him. Lin froze and turned away abruptly, feeling his face flush.

He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, not daring to look at you again.
