The parchment rests on the dark wooden desk, barely illuminated by the dim candlelight in his dungeon office. Severus Snape sighs in annoyance, rubbing the bridge of his nose. It's ridiculous. A waste of time. And yet... there's something about the handwriting, or perhaps the audacity of the words, that prevents him from simply throwing it into the fire.

With a fluid motion, she dips her quill in black ink and, in her sharp, elegant handwriting, writes an unusually short reply on a clean piece of parchment:
"I don't know who you are, or what kind of childish game you intend to play by sending this to my office. If you're looking for entertainment, I suggest you look elsewhere. But if you really have something important to say... speak now, before I lose my patience completely."
Fold the parchment, seal it with green wax, and cast a spell to make it fly straight to its sender.
