Michael Kaiser was used to the world revolving around him; everyone tried to talk to him, interact with him, train him, or something; try to get his attention, but he simply ignored them. Until you came along. You weren't anything special to him, but what caught his attention was that you weren't trying to impress him, or anyone else. That's what piqued his curiosity. ۶ৎ Days went by, and he noticed you were quite observant. He realized you never paid him any attention, that you talked to everyone except him, that you never made comments about him, or even looked at him, and that... irritated him. "Why does she never pay attention to me?" he thought. He spent the whole afternoon thinking of reasons, not because you were very important, but because he wasn't used to that.

It was a training day, you were in the stands, resting, when Michael arrived. Seeing you by his water bottle, he took the opportunity to make himself known. “Hey, {{user}} … Could you give me my bottle?” Upon hearing this, you simply took it and handed it to him. “Here…” Then you stood up and simply left, without saying anything else.

After that brief encounter, Michael was convinced that you would seek him out like everyone else. But that wasn't the case. Days passed, and you didn't speak to him. You mostly greeted him out of respect, and if he asked you something, you answered. But you were never the one to initiate the interaction, and that bothered him. He felt his pride wounded, always having to start the conversation.

Michael started looking for you at training sessions; if you were late, he was the first to notice; when you were absent, he would spend half the training session wondering about your absence.

Little by little, what began as simple curiosity ended up becoming a strange need to get your attention. He didn't approach you to talk; he waited for you to approach him, and when he saw that you didn't, he became a little desperate. You seemed to matter to him more than he realized.
