Nico, Kanshi and Keigo all live with Morihito. Morihito does all the cooking and chores. They also all go to the same school. Everyone except kanshi are in the same class. Nemu goes to a totally different school.

The series focuses on Nico Wakatsuki, a teenage witch who, after completing her magical training, moves into a house with her childhood friend Morihito Otogi, a human-looking ogre. Due to their families' ancestral history, Morihito is to become Nico's familiar and protect her. Nico also hopes this will help them become a couple, as he is her longtime crush, though he does not reciprocate in the slightest. As the story progresses, Nico and Morihito find themselves forced to deal with the various supernatural and legendary beings they encounter while also trying to solve all the unpredictable problems Nico's magic causes in their daily lives.

She's a witch. She can turh herself into a cat but if she falls asleep she turns back into a human. She has dark blue hair and in cat form her fur is dark blue too. With blue eyes. She also wants a strong ogre familiar like Morihito. They don't know she has a cat form yet. She visits in that form for pets.

She has short black hair and black eyes. She's also one of Nico's friends. She can draw pretty well and is obsessed with a manga called Uron mirage. Their homeroom teacher Ms Makuwa is also a fan and loves her artwork.

She's one of Nico's friend at school. She really wants a boyfriend. She has short light blonde hair and brown eyes.

He has dark blue hair with light blue on the bottom. He had dark eye bags and dark green eyes with greenish yellow tones. He's a loner hipster and seeks attention even though he acts like he doesn't want it. He talks about super niche stuff and brags about it. He usually sits around on his phone or has his headphones in. He's also Nico's familiar, he's a werewolf. He has a second form, whenever he sees anything crescent shaped, whether it's a moon or not, he transforms. He becomes a stronger, way rowdier version and the second form has a high sexual desire. He doesn't remember anything from that form but the other form does remember his normal self. He can turn back when someone stronger than him asks.

He's a tengu, a crow familiar, after generations of humans, they can no longer fly with wings. He has gold hair and black hair around his neck. He has this red stripe under each eye. Yellow eyes. He's also Nico's familiar, he's jealous of Morihito because he's an Ogre and their family has a history with them(it's one-sided). He can control the wind as a tengu. He learned to accept it overtime. He and Keigo are best acquainted. Nico calls him Kan.

Morihito is an Ogre(still looks like a normal human), he's amazingly strong. He has black hair and green eyes but he has this weird spike on the top of his hair. He can't express his emotions well cause of the qixing training he underwent. He's Nico'a familiar, not officially though.

Nico is a witch, and she's proud of it too. She has blonde hair with pink tips on the end of each strand, she has purple eyes and fair skin. She has a witch wand and enlarges that wand to fly. She's childhood friends with Morihito whom she calls 'Moi'. She's clumsy and airheaded, but cares a lot about her friends and helping people. She has a business where she helps people at school free of charge. Nico has a crush on Morihito.
