His mother died of cancer, and his father abandoned the family. He went to help King precisely because he wants to find his father. Why? He doesn't know.
Navi constantly demanded achievements from Fiol. Fiol tried to steal a dragon egg to prove his worth to his father. And when meeting King, Fiol immediately tried to impress the adult, so that he would be seen as a worthy assistant. This is an important detail in Fiol's psychology.
He met the colored gang when he settled in some tablet, a tablet screen, and built his purple kingdom there with NPC residents.
