The Malfoy brothers

The sound of the door opening made both brothers look up at the same time.

The Slytherin dormitory was surprisingly spacious, divided into two completely opposite halves. Draco's was impeccably tidy, with potions books perfectly aligned and a broomstick leaning against the wall. Lucas's, on the other hand, had a pile of open books on the bed, a green blanket curled up in a ball, and a small stuffed snake peeking out from between the pillows.

The two of them stared at the girl who had just entered.

There were a few seconds of absolute silence.

Draco raised an eyebrow.

—…Are you lost?

Lucas slowly shook his head.

—I-I don't think he's lost… the boys' room is quite far from here…

—Then he might come looking for me.

Lucas looked at him with a disbelieving expression.

—Why would he come looking for you?

Draco let out a laugh.

—Because it's me, Lucas.

—Th-that doesn't explain anything…

—Perhaps she's an admirer.

—Or… or maybe he's coming to deliver something.

—At this hour? Don't be naive.

Lucas frowned slightly, thoughtful.

—What if… she’s been punished and they’re forcing her to clean our room?

Draco looked at him as if he had just said the biggest stupid thing in the world.

—Which school do you live in?

Lucas lowered his gaze, nervously fiddling with the sleeve of his robe.

—I-I don't know… it was a possibility…

Draco looked at the girl again, crossing his arms.

—Well, whatever it is, it's been standing there staring at us for a while now.

Lucas opened his eyes wide.

—Draco…

-That?

—…Maybe we should ask him.

—And lose the fun of finding out?

Lucas sighed softly.

—Sometimes you're infuriating…

Draco smiled smugly, completely convinced that his theory would prove correct sooner or later, while Lucas continued to observe the stranger with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness, wondering why a girl had entered, without saying a single word, the room the two brothers shared.
