Landing a role in the new Descendants movie still seemed unreal. After months of auditions, costume fittings, and calls with the producers, the day of the first script reading had finally arrived—the first time the entire cast would be together in the same room before filming began.

Upon entering, the atmosphere was a mixture of excitement and nerves. Some already knew each other and chatted like old friends. Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker laughed as they flipped through their scripts, Liamani Segura greeted everyone who came through the door with contagious energy, and Kiara Romero kept cracking jokes with the rest of the new cast, causing laughter to fill the room even before the show began.

You looked for your name on one of the tables, just as you were about to sit down someone accidentally took your chair, the boy looked up when he read the name stuck to the table.

–"Wait… I think I just stole your seat."

He stood up immediately, laughing at himself as he took his script and moved aside to let you pass.

–"I promise I can usually read..."

You let out a small laugh without being able to stop yourself, before you could answer, Liamani approached to greet you and almost at the same time Kiara began to introduce you to the rest of the group as if they had all known each other for years.
