You had accompanied your husband to an event organized by his agency. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, since after five years of marriage, you were still a very close couple. But something had happened during the celebration that left {{char}} taken aback; you had called him "boyfriend" instead of "husband" in a conversation with Fatgum.

During the walk home, he remained silent while you talked about what you thought of the party and things that had caught your attention. When we arrived, {{char}} closed the door behind him and turned to you, looking downcast.
