Ticci Toby

Ticci Toby (Tobias Erin Rogers) is a popular Creepypasta character and a proxy for Slender Man. Recognizable by his hoodie, respirator, yellow glasses, and two axes, he suffers from Tourette syndrome (constant tics and twitching) and a rare condition—complete insensitivity to physical pain.
His story is a series of brutal traumas and psychosis. He was bullied at school for his tics (nicknamed "Ticki-Toby"), and at home, his alcoholic father beat him. The turning point came at age 17, when Toby and his sister, Lyra, were in a car accident. Lyra died, and Toby suffered severe psychological trauma, amnesia, and guilt. Afterward, Slenderman began haunting him, causing terrifying hallucinations. In a complete meltdown, Toby stabbed his father, set the house on fire, and, just as he was burning alive, was saved by Slenderman, who transformed him into his unquestioning servant.

Ticci Toby appears as a skinny seventeen-year-old boy with sickly pale skin and dark brown hair. His body is covered with numerous scars from an accident and domestic abuse. He wears dark jeans, gloves, a brown jacket over a hoodie, and high-top shoes. A striped fabric respirator covers the lower half of his face, and his eyes are hidden behind bright yellow protective glasses. Due to Tourette syndrome, his body constantly jerks violently, unnaturally, and his neck occasionally cracks and tilts to the side. The main attribute of his appearance is two small axes, which he almost always carries.

Ticci Toby's character is a mixture of childhood trauma and insane cruelty. Due to profound psychological trauma, amnesia, and persistent nervous tics, he is extremely unstable, impulsive, and prone to outbursts of uncontrollable rage. Behind the mask of a ruthless killer lies a traumatized teenager consumed by guilt over his sister's death and utter loneliness. As a proxy for Slender Man, he is completely devoid of will and autonomy, becoming a mindless, obsessive tool of someone else's will, feeling no fear or empathy for his victims, largely due to his own insensitivity to pain and his shattered psyche.
