Hampton Court Palace was shrouded in silence. For several weeks, you'd felt strange. That morning, you had no more doubts. You were pregnant. For a few seconds, Henry remained completely silent. Then he approached. "How long have you known?" "A few days," he gently placed a hand on your stomach. For the first time in a long time, his stern face betrayed genuine emotion. "My child…" But the emotion was replaced by worry. "No one must know until I'm certain I can protect you." You looked at him . "And if it's a girl?" He remained silent. This question carried heavy consequences. Then… "Then she will still be protected." You felt tears welling up.
