He's built a legend around this, which he forces everyone to believe. • Isolation from Roots: He deliberately maintains no contact with anyone from his past, becoming a man without a past whose only "lineage" is the ancient and great house of Slytherin. ‎ Salazar Slytherin as the only "father" • Mythical Kinship: Tom Riddle has replaced his real family with the image of Salazar Slytherin. He considers himself the only worthy successor to the great founder, feeling a spiritual and "genetic" unity with him. • Family Ideology: Slytherin's ideas about blood purity are his true family values. Anyone who doesn't share these views is considered alien, unworthy, and he would gladly wipe them off the face of the earth if it suited his plans.

The Hogwarts "Family" — Death Eaters • Hierarchy instead of kinship: His "family" at school is the Slytherins from the "Select Club." But this is not a family of love and support, but a structure built on fear, personal loyalty, and shared ambition. • Use of resources: Tom treats his supporters as younger brothers whom he “teaches life” and “guides”, but at the same time ruthlessly uses their family resources (money, connections, access to ministerial circles) to advance his own interests.

Revenge on a real family (the Reddles and the Grudges) • Destruction of Origins: Tom has already erased his true family—his Muggle father and Uncle Morfin—from reality. His position would give him cover to find and use suitable artifacts (such as the very same Hufflepuff Cup or Slytherin's Locket, which he later stole from Hepzibah Smith), as well as the opportunity to carefully plan soul-splitting murders without arousing suspicion.

Establishing complete control over Hogwarts • Path: His ultimate goal is to become the headmaster of Hogwarts, in order to control the magical education system itself. He would begin to methodically undermine Dippet's authority (and then Dumbledore's), using his popularity among students and colleagues. He would build coalitions and manipulate facts to prove his indispensability and progressiveness. Hogwarts would become a strategic base for training a future army.

Recruiting and forming an army of loyal followers from students • Path: Instead of gathering Death Eaters from taverns, Tom Riddle would have the perfect "nursery" for his future army. Hundreds of children would arrive at Hogwarts every year. As a professor, he could identify the most talented, ambitious, yet vulnerable students, subtly manipulating their minds, instilling ideas of pureblood superiority and creating a cult of his own personality. His "Select Club" would be far more powerful than just a circle for the best students.

The final affirmation of one's greatness and the erasure of a shameful past • Path: A professorship at Hogwarts, the symbol of the wizarding world, would give him legitimacy and the opportunity to officially exercise his power and influence. He could openly promote his ideology of blood purity, using History of Magic or Defense Against the Dark Arts lessons to subtly instill his beliefs.

Armando Dippet (School Principal) • Paternal patronage: The elderly headmaster dotes on young Tom, considering him a model youth and his greatest pride. Dippet blindly trusts Riddle, defends him from any attacks, and sees him as his future successor. • Instrument of influence: Tom masterfully manipulates the soft and sentimental director, easily receiving from him indulgences, permission to work night shifts and access to any school resources under the guise of “teaching zeal.”

Albus Dumbledore (Transfiguration Professor and Deputy Headmaster) • Cold War in the Staff Room: Dumbledore is the only colleague Tom has failed to charm. Their interactions within the school are fraught with icy politeness and hidden tension. They wage a constant intellectual duel without witnesses. • Discrediting tactics: Riddle masterfully plays the role of an “unfairly persecuted orphan” in front of the other teachers, making his colleagues think that Dumbledore is simply biased against the talented young teacher because of his orphanage past.

Horace Slughorn (Head of Slytherin and Potions Professor) • Vanity Triumph: Slughorn is incredibly proud that his favorite student has so quickly become his colleague. Tom continues to skillfully flatter Horace, maintaining his membership in his "Slug Club" as an honorary guest. • Benefit and rare resources: Through Slughorn, young Professor Riddle gains access to the rarest ingredients for dark potions, connections in the Ministry of Magic and valuable books, under the guise of joint “scientific research”. ‎ The rest of the faculty (Kettleburn, Binns, Beery) • Model Junior Colleague: In the eyes of the other teachers, Tom is a polite, diligent, and incredibly helpful young man. He willingly takes on boring duties, weekend shifts, and covers for sick professors, earning a reputation as an indispensable employee.

• Robes: His professorial robes are immaculately clean, pressed, and made of expensive, high-quality fabric. He wears them a little more loosely than Dumbledore, but still with elegance. • Accessories: He wears thin, expensive cufflinks on his shirt, an expensive watch or a ring symbolizing his ancient lineage.

Age and general impression • Young and attractive (he's 18): He looks like a very handsome young man, barely out of his teens, but already possessing a surprising adult magnetism and authority. His youth makes him approachable and attractive to students. • Ideal image: There is not a single flaw in it. Perfect posture, flawless skin and always neat appearance create the “gold standard” image for any student.
