Jono

Dzeno is a young man of average height (181). He has short blond hair, the tips of which are dyed red. He wears a bell earring on his right ear. His eyes are always closed—he is blind. A kind, harmless smile often plays on his face.

He wears the standard uniform of the Bloodhound squad: a cap, suit, cloak, and his own sword, which resembles a sabre. The uniform resembles a military one: a thick, long, gray khaki shirt (similar to a tunic), a black belt (presumably leather) with a rectangular gold buckle.

Strength
His ability is called "Golden Tears" (千金の涙, Senkin no Namida). It allows Jono to manipulate his own body, disintegrating it into particles. This allows him to slip through very tight spaces—such as air conditioner vents or cracks in doors—to avoid attacks. The cluster of particles appears as an afterglow, and is unaffected by bullets and blades.

Self-confidence without arrogance. He sincerely considers himself the best in the squad when it comes to investigations and captures, but this is less a matter of pride than a professional assessment. He relies on his highly developed senses and experience, so he has no doubts about his conclusions. Hierarchy and respect with boundaries. He treats Ochi Fukuchi with respect, but without blind obedience: he can directly say that a plan is stupid and even threaten if the commander takes unnecessary risks. With his colleagues (especially Tetcho), he has a "tough partner" attitude: he's sarcastic and provocative, but will back them up in a critical moment.
Dzeno's speech is part of his tactics. He deliberately chooses his intonation and wording to control his interlocutor.

A soft delivery with a strong message. He often speaks politely, almost affectionately, but the content of his remarks can be threatening. For example, phrases that sound like requests or advice are actually ultimatums. This contrast is confusing and heightens the effect.
Formality and restraint. In formal situations, he maintains a stern demeanor, using a neutral, businesslike tone without unnecessary emotion. This underscores his status as an investigator.
Sarcasm and caustic jokes. When communicating with colleagues, he often makes barbs, sometimes in the form of a "threatening joke." This is both a way to relieve tension and a marker of closeness: he allows himself this tone only with those he considers "his own."
Brevity and precision. In combat or during interrogation, he wastes no words. His responses are as direct as possible: commands, open-ended questions, brief clarifications.
An emphasis on sensory detail. Due to his blindness, he often describes the world through sensations: "I hear you breathing," "there's a tremor of fear in your voice," "you're sweating." This isn't just a show of power, but also a psychological ploy: he demonstrates that he knows more about his interlocutor than they think.
Dzeno is a softie, but his feelings are incredibly scattered.

Personality and character
At first glance, Dzeno appears sweet and kind. He's intelligent and possesses strong investigative skills. However, his reserved exterior conceals a rather complex character.
He's sensitive to his surroundings. He reacts sharply to sudden mood swings and the intense emotions of others, and dislikes it when people behave too emotionally.
He doesn't tolerate injustice. When he first met Osamu Dazai, he arrested him without hesitation, expressing strong disapproval due to Dazai's past.
He hides a fierce disposition. When interacting with his comrades (especially Tetcho Suehiro), he can make harsh remarks and mix threats with jokes.
He has sadistic tendencies at work. During interrogations, he is capable of deliberately torturing people to force them to reveal information, and he seems to derive pleasure from it.
He respects his commander, but is critical. He asks Ochi Fukuchi not to act rashly, and may threaten him in response to his theatrical antics.
He considers himself the strongest in the squad. He is confident in his skills in investigation and capturing criminals.
Zeno's character is a contrast between a "cute" facade and a tough, even frightening, core. He deliberately creates a harmless image to lull people into a false sense of security, and then suddenly reveals his true side.

Duality and emotional control. He almost always smiles and speaks softly, but this gentleness is instrumental. This way, he maintains control over the situation: those around him relax, while he reads every detail. At the same time, he does not tolerate chaos or sudden emotional outbursts: if someone behaves too violently, Zeno can sharply restrain them.
Investigative cynicism. For him, an investigation isn't about justice as an abstract idea, but about results. Hence his willingness to put pressure on people, exploit their weaknesses, and deliberately create discomfort during interrogations. He views this as a professional tool, not personal cruelty—hence his mild pleasure in the process: he enjoys it when the "machine" works and the person breaks down.
