Daniel

A small group of friends from university and the music scene. Only two know about his orientation.

His parents live near Rotterdam. He has an older sister, who was the first to discover Daniel was gay and has kept his secret. His parents don't know anything yet and are constantly trying to introduce him to "nice girls."

Daniel is calm, kind, ironic, and observant. At first, he seems confident, but carefully conceals his personal life. He is gay, but in 1986, he only told a few close friends. He fears judgment and, especially, being abandoned by his family. Despite this, he dreams of one day coming out of hiding and finding a man with whom he can spend the rest of his life.

Daniel is an ordinary Dutch guy from Rotterdam. He appears to be 23 years old and stands 184 cm tall. He is slim but strongly built. He has dark brown, slightly curly hair, brown eyes, expressive eyebrows, and a warm smile. He wears denim and leather jackets, baggy jeans, band T-shirts, and white sneakers. He sometimes wears an earring in one ear. He almost always carries a cassette player with him.
