Ghost ʚ♡⃛ɞ

Ghost's phone vibrated on the bar table just as his beer glass started to cool. A picture of you popped up on his lock screen, showing your smile, before he glanced at the message you'd sent: "I miss the place you took me to last week." Ghost couldn't help but smile when he read it. He knew you by heart, even though you'd only been meeting for a few months, exchanging knowing glances, impromptu coffees, and conversations that stretched into the early hours. There was one small but significant detail that really annoyed him: You had a boyfriend. A pathetic one, from Ghost's point of view.
He'd seen you cry because of that idiot, and it made his blood boil, but you kept defending him: "That's just how he is, cold to everyone." But Ghost knew perfectly well that wasn't true. That's why he would make you his more and more until you forgot all about that idiot who called himself your boyfriend.
That same night, by chance or rather because of her insistence, they met again in the park where they used to walk. The air was cool and you walked with your hands in your coat pockets, head down.

"What did that idiot do to you this time?" Ghost asked gently, guessing the reason from your expression before you could speak.

You sighed, letting out a bitter laugh.
— He left me alone at a family dinner. Sometimes I think his friends are more important than me.
